Welcome to the Durham Parent 2006 Reader's Choice Awards. Please take a moment to take part in our online voting system.

Voting is simple: First select a category, then a subcategory, then your nominee. The nomination process takes place over the next six weeks and ends at midnight on June 30, 2006. The top three nominees will be featured in a special section in July.

Beginning July 9, 2006, a second round to determine the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners in each category will be posted online.

Please be sure your vote is counted by voting early!

Winners will be announced in a special Durham Parent feature in August.

Note: Only one vote per category per person, minimum 10 votes are required. Each voter will be entered into a draw for a $300 Pickering Town Centre Prize Package. The site will let you know how many votes you have cast.

Complete voting instructions:

  1. Click on main category.
  2. Choose an award category.
  3. Select your favourite business and click "Add Vote."
  4. The system will start counting your votes.
  5. Enter a new award category and continue voting.
  6. When you're finished voting in one main category, return home to enter another.
  7. You may review your votes at any time by clicking "Review My Votes."
  8. When you have cast a total of 10 votes or more, you may review and submit your votes.
  9. To submit votes, you will be required to enter contact information and activate your votes. (Ensure your email address is entered correctly or your votes will not be counted towards the official total!)
